WAYNE CASPER - is the Senior Instructor and Adviser for Computer Education Center.
   
JOHN LORTZ - is the Director of Education and Technology for the Senior Health Foundation, a non-profit organization specializing in computer and Internet training for senior citizens. In his role with Senior Health, John is responsible for development of all class curriculum, training manuals, and interactive CD-ROM's. He is the primary architect of the Senior Health Foundation Web site. He also acts as the instructor for many of the computer classes and Internet workshops. In a consulting role, he has assisted other retirement communities in the creation of senior training labs.  

In addition to his duties at Senior Health, John has been an adjunct instructor for over fifteen years at College of St. Mary, teaching advanced business applications, Web page design, and various programming classes. He also serves as a freelance writer for the Smart Computing and PC Today magazines and has published over 30 articles on a wide range of computer related topics.

John has served on the Omaha Public Schools Internet Advisory Committee, was a featured speaker at the Nebraska AGPAM Conference, and has presented at the national AAHSA Annual Meeting. He was a keynote speaker at the Nebraska Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations conference, presenting ideas on Internet marketing and Web page design.

John has his Masters degree in Computers in Education, but has gained much of his technical knowledge from five years of experience as Director of Information Systems for a software development company. He has also expanded his technical capabilities through his work as a private computer systems consultant and Web site designer.

While his duties as a computer instructor at the College of St. Mary have provided John with a strong foundation in teaching, for over ten years his primary focus has been on teaching computer fundamentals to senior citizens. Instructing over 7000 seniors in over 500 classes has given John valuable insights into senior computer education and has guided his efforts in developing class curriculum and training materials that are specially designed for senior citizen needs.

 

  SUSAN LEAVITT - is the Assistant Director of Technology and Education for the Senior Health Foundation, a non-profit organization specializing in computer and Internet training for senior citizens. In her role with Senior Health, Sue teaches many of the senior computer classes and trains other senior instructors in the methods SHF has developed over the years. She is also responsible for co-development of all class curriculum, training manuals, and interactive CD-ROM's, and is the co-author of the Senior Health Foundation Web site.

In addition to her duties with Senior Health, Sue is an adjunct assistant professor at College of St. Mary , teaching advanced computer business applications and various introductory computer classes. She also does freelance writing for the Smart Computing, and PC Today magazines, two nationally distributed computer magazines targeted at the general public.

In recent years, Sue acted as an adjunct computer instructor at Creighton University , and trained in specialized computer applications for CompUSA. At SeniorTech 2000, she was a featured speaker offering ideas on Connecting Seniors to the Internet. Sue was also a keynote speaker at the Nebraska Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations conference, presenting ideas on Internet marketing and Web page design.

Sue has her Masters degree in Computers in Education, but has gained much of her educational knowledge from her eight years as a teacher for the Omaha Public Schools. Her duties as an educator both at the grade school and college level have provided Sue with a strong foundation in teaching, but for over five years her primary focus as been on teaching computer and Internet fundamentals to senior citizens.
